Your use of color in the water serpent is gorgeous and dynamic. I'm not sure where the light in the water is coming from, but as a stunning Illustration emphasing the serpent I don't see that it matters. The great thing about art is we can choose to illuminate objects that have no light source for the sake of the art. Lets just say the light source is the magic of the serpent and be done with it.

From the life of the ocean, to the gentle way she holds herself, this is perfection. The coloration is just enough. It could have been easy to overpower this with toom uch darkness or too much blue, but you didn't do that at all. I am beyond impressed, and I'm not even a visual artist.
